Our Roots

Founded as Crowley Communication Products, Inc. in the late 1970s and later operated as Crowley Identity Solutions, Inc., the Charlotte-based business was purchased by J. Michael (Mike) Bridges and renamed Bridgeway Solutions, Inc. in 2003, and in 2007 relocated to downtown Morganton. Following months of extensive renovations, Bridgeway Solutions' home office opened at 600 East Union Street in the former R&S Vending property.

​In 2015, Bridgeway Solutions joined the ARMET Group, an elite organization dedicated to offering customers the best service, support, integration and training. Bridges, along with David Higgins III and Phil Johannes, founded the ARMET Group as a way to provide expansive, effective solutions for ID management, security and safety. Bridgeway takes pride in being among an exclusive group of ID management solutions resellers.

Bridgeway's team will be working with the Charlotte Police and NCEMA as they plan for the upcoming Republican National Convention set for August in Charlotte, NC.

Bridgeway Solutions is still celebrating after a successful Salamander™ deployment at Super Bowl LIII. Bridgeway’s Senior Technician Wayne Peck, Technical Sales Consultant Gene Hawkins, Technician Rich Billig and volunteer Julie Peck assisted Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA) with tagging and tracking personnel and equipment for the 53rd. In 2014, Bridgeway Solutions received the Burke County Chamber of Commerce Medium Sized Business of the Year Award recognizing company growth, staying power, innovation, involvement and response to adversity.

Immediately preceding the 2013/2014 academic year, Bridgeway Solutions, Inc. installed identification systems at 160 campuses in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system. Bridgeway is currently working with CMS Schools to move to an even more dynamic ID solution. 

In 2013, Bridgeway implemented student ID badging and accountability for Greenville, SC Schools, the state’s largest system serving over 70,000 K-12 students. We continue to serve and support the district with ID accessories, supplies and service. 

Bridgeway and its solution partners at Midwest Card and Salamander badged over 6000 emergency response personnel for the 2012 Democratic National ​Convention held in Charlotte, NC.

In preparation for the DNC, Bridgeway assisted with the "Vigilant Guard" exercise at Fort Bragg, tracking over 900 National Guardsmen.
