Facility security and enhanced safety have never been more critical than today. Access control and ID management must provide a protective barrier for your people and your data.
Smart technology uses an encrypted, computer chipped card for secure access to data, tracking and attendance, facility security and enhanced safety. ID cards using mag stripe or bar coding can be easily duplicated and the passive signal from a prox card can be captured, often at a distance, and reused for unauthorized access. Smart IDs provide a more secure, tamper-resistant solution. To help you stretch the remaining 2016-2017 budget funds, Bridgeway Solutions is offering a complete badging station including software, Zebra ZXP printer, supplies and a camera at 40% below market price. Basic IDs usually include a photo and a a barcode or QR imprint. They may include a mag stripe if the printer has the capability for encoding. Basic cards are great for visual IDs, time and attendance, loyalty or membership rosters when the information on the card does not have to be secure. However, if the ID cards will include confidential data or allow access to secure areas, a Smart Card (aka Chip Card) is more appropriate and far more secure. Chip cards (Smart Cards) can feature advanced security elements such as a signature and security encoding. They can be contact or contactless allowing users to swipe, tap or simply pass by a reader. The capacity of the chip varies depending upon the type and coding of the specific card stock. Adding other security elements such as lamination further protects the card's data and provides for greater durability. Learn more about card specifics by clicking here.
