Student Safety & Campus Security
Smart Card Student ID
Students have one - and only one - valid ID at a time. Administrators activate and deactivate IDs for lost or stolen cards on demand. Photo IDs are proven to provide a higher level of student safety and campus security.
Tap in and tap out. From bus to building, building to classroom. Large groups move quickly by an attendance kiosk and are checked in as they tap their card.
ScholarChip's ABE system (Alternative Behavior Educator) offers schools a proactive transformation of the discipline process, providing teachers and administrators with an effective and efficient tool for handling disruptive behaviors.

Automated Attendance / eClass
Capture building, large group, and classroom attendance with a simple tap of a smart card ID. Automated Attendance - also referred to as eClass - puts the responsibility on the student to be sure they are counted as present and on time. Unlike manual systems and other card-reader programs, eClass Automated Attendance ready status indicates all students are absent until the they tap in with their smart card ID. Attendance is accurate and consistent plus it frees the teacher for other classroom tasks.
Students check-in or out with a quick tap of their smart card ID at a mobile or desk-mounted kiosk or at the classroom card reader. Automating attendance at an attendance kiosk is a quick, virtually effortless process that allows as many as 40 student taps to be recorded per minute.
Classroom attendance via a classroom card reader at the door or on the teacher's desk, verifies the class, class period and specific time the student tapped in. There's no wiggle room. Either the student was on time, was late, or was too late to be given credit for attending. For districts with "time in seat" requirements, automated classroom attendance also tracks in and out for restroom breaks, visits to the office or nurse, and other time away from class.
Specifically designed for schools, ScholarChip's Visitor Manager quickly scans a new visitor's state-issued ID and the visitor's information is recorded. The information is cross-referenced with the school's restricted access database and a national sex offender database. Once verified, an ID card or name badge is quickly created and issued to the visitor.
ScholarChip's visitor management solution can seamlessly integrate with your SIS, connecting visitor data to student information and, if desired, allowing for student pickup as well.
Return visitors are recognized in the system and can bypass the verification process to be issued a pass in seconds. Should there be a problematic visitor, an attendant or designated personnel are alerted via email, text or an alert to respond for appropriate action.
ScholarChip's transportation attendance used the student's smart ID card to capture the time and location of each entrance or departure. On school buses, campus shuttles or even public transportation, a quick tap of their ID card and the student's photo, schedule, and transportation details are pulled from the school's student information system (SIS) and displayed on the mobile device.
Administrators have data on the number of student using transportation services whether it be for daily commuting or participating in school events or field trips. Location, time and schedule changes are quickly accessible.
A cloud-based point-of-sale solution for your campus saves time, money and enhances student card usage. Use POS for cafeteria management, free and reduced lunch monitoring and reporting, cafeteria attendance, web-based payments and parent notification. Fully-hosted so no hardware or software maintenance. Uptime and security equal to the requirements set for financial industry and government installations.
Interface with the Student Information System allows proactive response for known food allergies and processes free and reduced lunch plans without calling attention to the student's method of payment.
